The Associate Pastor Nominating Committee (APNC) reported on the candidate they selected and who had completed preaching a sermon to the congregation at all three services. The congregation voted whether to take in the candidate as Associate Minister and the terms.
Candidate Brief
Ronald Durika has been a member of the Derry Presbyterian Church all his life. He had worked in his family construction business and became a Commissioned Lay Pastor in Redstone in 1996. Rpn has served the churches of First Trafford, New Florence, and currently serves the Avonmore Presbyterian Church in Redstone Presbytery and the Saltsburg Presbyterian Church in kiskiminetas Presbytery. He graduated from the Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2010. Ron has served as the moderator of Redstone and on various committees and boards within the presbytery. Ron is married to Debra who teaches at Harrold Middle School in the Hempfield School District and they have two sons. Nathan Durika is a Lieutenant Commander serving in Naval Intelligence and their younger son Aaron works at the Latrobe Steel Company.
