The Christian Cruisers organize activities for anyone in the church, their family members and friends to attend. The purpose of the group is to provide wholesome entertainment opportunities for a wide range of ages and interests.
Friday, February 22 we gather at 6:00 PM in the social hall. Dinner will be served at 6:30 PM. We provide the meat and beverage. Following the dinner our guest (see below) will present her program at 7:15 PM. To attend the dinner, please call Barb Burk 724-863-0457 or Taska Smola 724-864-1331. Come to dinner or come to the presentation or join us for both activities. In addition we will have information about this year’s activities. Missionary Sees Africa Changing (Info taken from an article by Mary Pickels 1.22.08 Tribune Review) After a decades-long career as a critical-care nurse, Patty Summerville found her calling in a Christian hospital in Pakistan. It was the beginning of a second career in a way for Summerville of New Kensington. During the past 20 years, she has carried the message of Christianity to Pakistan, Sudan, Egypt, Mexico and Arizona. In September, she traveled to Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, to attend the first African Women's Conference, a project for 55 Presbyterian women from 16 African countries called "Facing the Challenges of Africa: The Christian Woman's Perspective”. She was among more than a dozen American women at the event.
