Construction is underway!
Men are at work. Two trailers are parked in the lot (remember the
available Sunday morning parking options). |
The scaffolding on the
tower appears an effort to form a framework for making it thicker and
wider. A major task in itself, we pray the scaffolding put up be safe and
secure for the workers. |
Here we witness the
workers with scaffolding strategically placed for work on the church
chimneys. From here it looks as if they incorporated the yellow chute
sliding board from the playground to allow them to quickly get down for
tools and supplies. |
In the landing to the
balcony Ryan Klingensmith and his father Pat of Ringler Restoration strip down a pew for
refinishing. |
The father and son team
go into artisan mode to touch-up water damage to the stenciling around a
stained glass window in the sanctuary. |
First primer is applied
to water damaged surfaces.. |
..then after matching the
original colors, paint is applied to the border color. |
Stencils are cut to match
the original so the design patterns can also be brightened with fresh
paint. |

Scaffolding going up in
the Sanctuary. |
The pipe organ appears to
have a whole lot more plumbing to it lately. |
Are they building a
railroad trestle through the sanctuary? |
Many crosses. |

Scaffolding is secured,
pulled up, and bolted into place.
