The Kitchen Remodeling Part 5
Grinding it Out

New food warmers (left) with rounded sides (no corners) meet code and are easier to clean. They also, unlike the originals, feature drains.

The heater control shown face down and tethered to the food warmer sink above can be seen to right. It features an amber orange light to instantly indicate whether it has been activated or not.

Grinding an opening for the heater controls to be mounted in front of each sink.

The most challenging part is properly spacing the outlines for cutting.

Here is the finished handiwork.

The food warmer farthest to the right will have a facet for filling its sink with water. With a siphoning system via the drains all four sinks will fill-up simultaneously. The drain on the sink farthest left will empty all the sinks. This feature will assure each sink has water in it should its heater be inadvertently activated.
