Rev. Dr. Ronald Wakeman
Rev. Wakeman has been the Head of Staff at the First Presbyterian Church of Irwin since July of 2007. He comes to us with 30 years of experience as a Minister of the Gospel. During his 12 years here, he has shared the teachings and values of the Gospel with the congregation and those he has met in many of his pastoral duties. In his preaching and teaching he has encouraged us with the Good News. Dr. Wakeman also holds a PhD in Biblical Archaeology.
“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Ps 34:1. This verse is one of the foundations of Rev. Wakeman’s ministry and reminds him of his call to serve.
Dan has 24 years of experience and worked hard to earn Vice President/Sales Manager of a National Distribution Company. He enjoys working for the church and loves to spend time with his wife and daughter and likes sports and the outdoors.
Barb brings several years as a financial secretary/controller. She is very involved in the family farm and her husband’s church.
Youth Choir Director
Judy is a graduate from Westminster College with a bachelor of Music degree, and did graduate studies in music at Duquesne University. She taught vocal elementary mumsic in the Kiski Area School District. Judy has been a member of the church since 1988 and has played organ for church services full-time from age 14 to age 40, and is currently substituting for organist. Judy has been a Deacon, helped with the youth programs, and presently ring in the bell choir and direct the children’s choir. Judy is married and has 6 grandchildren.
