Wordship through music.

Read about our three different choirs below.

Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir consists of a group of dedicated members who raise their voices in praise every Sunday morning at our 10:00 am service and at extra services during Holy Week, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Additionally, a men’s choir sings at the 11:00 pm service on Christmas Eve.

The Chancel Choir rehearses every Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm. New members are always welcome. If you are interested, please contact the church office at 724-863-5910 or email at   office@firstpresbyirwin.org.

Youth Choir

Our Youth choir consists of children Kindergarten through 8th grade. We practice each Wednesday in the upstairs assembly room from 5:30-6:00, September through May. We sing for the 10:00 service every third Sunday of each month.

Our choir’s theme is come and Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord! We always welcome new members any time of the year.

Handbell Choir

A handbell choir, or ensemble, is a group that rings recognizable music with melodies and harmony.

Here at the First Presbyterian Church, our Handbell Choir plays several times throughout the year under the guidance and instruction of Director Diane Johnston.

We currently have 9 ringers. We welcome anyone who is interested in joining our group to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, whether or not you can read music.

Any members interested in joining this or any of our many groups, committees, etc, please email the church office at office@firstpresbyirwin.org.
